Man, I got to play around with one of these this weekend, wired into a Processing application:
https://www.leapmotion.com/ It's like a little miniature Kinect sitting in front of your screen. Very impressive! Has a range of about 2 feet. I can see tons and tons of applications for this thing: -games -3d sculpting -3d scanning Only costs 70$! |

Would love to try this with 3d sculpting.. Ok those other things as well..
I can see medical facilities utilizing this as well... Stupid things happen to computers for stupid reasons at stupid times! |

Mine arrived yesterday. Just installed it and Painter Freestyle Beta.
My trusty owl mascot was drawn in thin air, literally! Will take some practise to learn to draw in this fashion. It helps to use a pencil or some such pointer instead of just a finger. Now I have to see what else is available.  |
