yeah, #1 i could see where those rods might animate to being opening and closing portals on some sci-fi setting. but that diagonal in #2 and 3 doesnt work for me. i'm guessing you're working a lot with profile gradients and i know how difficult that can be to keep one part and lose another with those. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

----More with the diagonal hatred, oi vay ! What's wrong with a nice diagonal ?? Ha-ha And yeah, am I being lazy, like is there another better or easier way to do diagonal lines without profile gradiants ? Hell I just finally realized you can wait til the very end, and make part of your graphic alpha, I used to START with an alpha component if I wanted to make something have transparent parts, can you imagine ? Ha-ha

----I sort of accidentally found a simple way to get some semi-tire tread patterns going again, well, simpler than my last try at least ha-ha. I'll try and post some examples in the next few days.

There aren't any good ones in the library as far as I remember that are the impression left by tire treads

---I want to say 'selmo' has the main one, I suck at names. It's as good as mine, I just stumbled across a simple way to make some simple yet decent ones this morning. Trying to make the top-most part of the tread standout that extra 10% from the main lower-down part to get more depth out of it is all. The design is very limited, but perhaps it can be used to just 'suggest' a tire/traction, and need not be 100% realistic. Teh nu surrealism, is just combining old things in new ways that give *impressions* where there normally are boring old facts or pictures eh.

----I'd sure like it to, but anything *new* seems to be poison to those making $ wit teh olde already, so they stomp it down fast. *sigh* I'm trying to normal my sh*t out, and maybe get a foot in the door, then I can sell them some nu skool surrealistical rustproof undercoating down the road someday eh.

No, I'm not dead or gone, just really busy for the past X months and no time for anything fun.
I've also been waiting for a new release of FF -- hopefully adding new components, features, or even addressing some of the usability issues that have been annoying me. There's some really basic things about FF that keep getting in the way of me really enjoying the process as much as I should. I find it frustrating that these things have gone unfixed for so long and that saps my gumption.
But I guess that stupid mac version is still blocking up the whole dev pipeline. I know how it goes...people have been yelling at me for delays in my own software project forever.
