Modern Collage #2 kinda made me think of that one tile/pixel filter (it's a really old one) that has the different sized bits, and how it'd be cool to somehow control that with the threshold. In attempt to explain that, by controlling the Threshold, you could make the tiles bigger around the edges, or smaller around the edges (the thresholded edges of whatever pic you input that is), and have kind of *swarms* of tiles/pixel in that way. It's probably not what you had in mind for this filter, but it came to mind, so I figured why not say something before I get 10 more great-ideas-for-things-I'll-never-do and forget about it and go make a sandwich ha-ha.

jffe, that's a good idea.....

I was kinda thinking about an offset construction to create overlapping and adding like tile shadows to give a raised 3D appearance to different tiles.....

re the collages, 1 and 2, but i'd clean up 1 with less color differences and less of that sort of splotchy noise. so, i guess it would be a mix of sort of 1 and 2. i'd also be tempted to do a straight color and b&w mix. that could be cool.
