Hmmm... I'm kinda stuck on this one. As an effect, I don't think this has the proper 'Ooomph!' somehow. Maybe I should release it as a texture...

Well, just putting cobwebs over an image isn't going to cut it, if you ask me. In that case I could also make this into a texture so people can blend it onto whatever in their image editor of choice.
What I'm looking for here is some kind of theme to pursue, like in 'Shark Tank!' for example. That filter doesn't just produce refracting drops of condensation, but offers a complete look. Maybe some sort of dank cellar or dusty attic kind of feel. There needs to be that certain something besides the cobwebs to make this work, I feel. --- Crapadilla says: "Damn you, stupid redundant feature requests!" ;) |

That's a good idea.....dust cover the image in addition to the webs......maybe even turn the image into old rusty metal with dust and webs on it......or maybe crumple the image in like a spider had sucked the juices out of it.....with some webbing looking like it was wrapped on part of a thresholded area like it was a captured bug (ie...just the preserver) Sorry about the mental images, ladies Steve

well, the classics on cob webs are attic corners, cave openings or cave tunnels and just about anything halloween. my preference would be a cave opening. but, as a texture would make a lot of sense and perhaps be more versatile.
