very subtle. when i viewed this last night i was wondering why is he doing a black and white filter and then expanding it to color. stick to one or the other! but looking at it again today and with the last renditions posted (that werent there last night), i got it. i used to call these 'subdue filters'. dont know if that's the proper name, but it's the idea of them. take something bright and highly saturated and full of color, like the original you picked here, and tone it down. make the person reach for it rather than hitting them over the head with color.

i like it.

Persidio...thanks! I am anxious to see how the filter works with "live" photos, such as your zoo pics. That will be a true test of the settings. Thank you!

Kraellin...yes, exactly, thank you! I guess maybe I am just looking for "the good ol' days" with this filter. I remember buying different lens filters for our Canon 35mm. You could get tints, effects, etc. Of course, photos maybe didn't have the "bang" like today's photo quality...but, they could make you feel warm inside smile;)

Example...I wake up in the morning, the scent of fresh brewed coffee fills the air. There's a slight breeze coming in through the open window, the sounds of birds drifting in. When I glance over in the corner, I would much rather look at a photo or painting that resembles Preset 17 way more than the original image! But, then again...I like to wake up slowly smile;)

Thank you!

you're welcome, rev. try adding a levels component, if you havent already. black and white points here can tweak things nicely.
