I love this filter!!!

If you smoothed out the other one you'd have a similar effect to Flaming Pears 'Aetherize'. http://www.flamingpear.com/aetherize.html

What you have going on with Next Gen Glass 2 is ... an edge effect filter. Like a metallic 'Organic Edges' (Another filter by Flaming Pear). I just uploaded an edge filter to the Gallery yesterday- I like yours smile:) Very kewl~

Here's the link to Flaming Pears Organic Edges:

http://www.flamingpear.com/organic.html ((Now these examples don't show this filter very well because I've used it for years- going to have to trust me on this but definately your filter has some organic edges going on)). A good name for yours might be 'Metallic Edges' (thinking outload again)... very sweet filter!~

To Kraellin, Hi ya,

I'm not so sure I'd be concerned about the debri on the outside because most that want the filter on a specific area are going to pre-select the application area in their paint program.

Persidio

P.S. Wait... no havn't loaded my Find Edges filter yet- was offline- (my bad).

well, i'm always a little hesitant about saying 'most'. frankly, i like the background that came with the images posted, so, if they were 'cleaner' that would have more appeal to me.

but, the flower portions are beautiful, nonetheless, and very glassine. some of stevie's best.

Yes it is smile:)

Pure Genius!~

About my "Find Edges: -----> I was hit with duplicate presets. Just not the same as I rip things off. smile:cry:

Besides if you're going to load yours I may scrap mine and use yours. LOL

I moved onto another filter I'll post soon.

I'll have to fix and play with my edges one- maybe,, maybe not load in the Gallery. We'll see if I can't save it from Duplicate Preset mayhem.

Yea... no one admits that.

smile:D

I went out Filter Forging (just now); and picked up some wonderful filters of yours. I grabbed the Extreme Glass, Clear Gel, Perlin Art Works2, Painted Metal, Disintergrater, Heavy Metal Chrome, Abstract Work 3, Abstract Work 2, Color Chromatics, Candy Abstractor, and Perlin Art Works. ((Nice collection you have going)). Was tempted to download them all but think I need to create with these first. ((Youza Filters- very very very nice)).

Also Kraellin ((very nice- top notch)), CFandM filters ((very nice- top notch too)), Sjeiti (looked good), and Zephos (looked good). I already have all Ron's filters (top notch) and some Vlad (top notch too). (LOL). Lots of great filter artists at FF.

Was downlaoding with scrap booking in mind.

I better sign off and get some things done before I get caught up in filters or making graphics.

Out of what you grabbed, you will probably have the most fun with ExtremeGlass and ClearGel.....

HeavyMetalChrome is in the process of getting a much-needed extreme makeover. It was one of my first filters.....not very good....but everyone has been downloading it because the lead preset looks cool. I feel guilty about that one smile:) LOL.....

Stevie there is a filter of mine I wish I could take down if I could (so I know what you are talking about)- however it's my most downloaded filter. So figure that one out. LOL. Shaking my head. (((I messed up Koda Chrome- that's the one I'm referring to). One of my first filters- not new to graphics (a decade of graphics under my hat including filter use- .8bf plug ins and in house filters) but new to FF (18 days)- and Koda Chrome... wasn't tested enough. And although it doesn't do what I wanted it to - it must have other qualities for playing with or using that ... are liked. What those reasons are I havn't a clue. smile:D

I think I'll have fun with all the filters I download in your collection~ mostly it has to do with what I'm making or working on. When I get into making graphics I won't be making many filters - just using them, I gotta switch off between making filters and making graphics- both are way to competive for my time. smile;)

I'll let you know which ones get used the most. Promise smile:) Propably all of them, LOL.

Well, my motto is to achieve the desired effect as simple, fast, and efficient as possible.....because I'm impatient and have a short attention span smile:)

I've been checking out yours too smile:) One little itsy-bitsy suggestion for your "Metallic Emboss" filter......I would add a full range of controls to it.....to make something good even better smile:)

Can't update that one------> it would change it too much for what I need to do. It would be better to do a version 2 but ... I don't want a version 2 of that one.

It does have some neat features to it and it is liked. It's not a bad filter ((I'm just very critical on myself... LOL.

Lots and lots of work into each filter.

I love this one too~ when I made it I knew it would make great fonts,,, didn't mention that because I assume others can look at a filter and spot a font filter when they see it. smile:D

No... no sliders on that one~ It's perfect like it is- doesn't need sliders. But... I'm so glad you like it and will make a version 2... on the new one I'll add a bunch of sliders. This filter needs a version 2 anyway because it's just a great little filter. ((Alot work went into it btw, *grin*, lots)). Quality is there just no sliders.

I was using your filters today on fonts--- beautiful!I promised I'd let you know what my favorites were... Painted Metal and Color Chromatic !!!! Well I love all of them,,, Oh and your Extreme Glass all by itself makes a great font with Britannic Bold type. You should put a second filter on it like Lab Enhance and add it to the font collection thread for layered filter fonts. Could be a good promotion for it and others can see what create type face it makes.

True.....I almost added the controls to send it to you.....but I thought that might be offensive if you had it the way you wanted it.....and didn't want my head lopped off and handed back to me smile:D LOL..... just kidding smile:)

Very glad you like them!!! smile:) I don't know if you tried this, but adjusting down the "Size, Pixels" on Extremeglass creates some really neat oil painting effects. Check out the examples of it in the "comments" string if you get a chance.....

So much to look at and to try here......and not enough time in a day smile:) I plan to take a better look at your new ones later on today smile:)

----O.k., I was pretty sure I hadn't overlooked it, wanted to see how it looks on a few random pics, then take a peek inside if it's performing well on a variety of material. I'll keep an eye out for it down the road here, it looks slightly different than some glassy effects I've gotten. smile:)

For Extreme Glass... I'll remember that. And oh... I didn't get a chance to make comments yesterday (hubby flew out of state on business for a few days... and I ususally have much more to do when he's gone... but I should be able to make it over to comments later today. smile:D I'm currently in single parent mode for a few days.

LOL... Don't worry about Metallic Emboss. I plan on beefing it up some when I put in the controls for version 2. I wanna have something nice that has extremely reliable effects for beginners so... the original will stay the same. Version 2 will not only have more controls but will be a turbo version of the first. smile:D Oh forgot to explain about the only seven presets on the original... this was to encourage beginners to roll the dice with variations and create their own.

I'm so tired today and... there is a barking dog outside the window that won't quite yapping. LOL Just can't sleep when hubby is out of state----> I worry too much I guess... afraid I won't wake up for the alarm because he always wakes me...(also the darn thing never goes off when I need it to) then have to worry about his airline flight and saftey while traveling.

I think I'm behind in everything today. He gets back late Wed night so things should return to normal on Thursday.

Now if you could train that dog to bark at the sound of the alarm that would be a good way to wake up...Unless the alarm goes off at 3 in the morning..
