I have made already 4 filters about 10 Images or Photo Stripes Mix, 3 of them are still to be uploaded to the library as I have submitted them but there was errors.
Although I like the result from these filters, there was something I did not like and that I have found that using 10 stripes is not enough depending on the result you may want, for me having only stripes is unbalanced and is missing 1 stripe, and is not possible to use the method I have used above to have an additional stripe, so I have made a totally new filter using Free Rectangle to build each one of the stripes, and carefully using remapping on each of them. I haver started this thread because I want to make some different experiments using the stripes as source to try to use different components that could be added AFTER the stripes and see what happens and what can I get from this, and will put here the results. I will explain with examples why 11 is much better for me than 10 stripes for some things |

As I can´t submit a filter to the FF Library here I upload it to the forum
This is for FF 4.0 This is the most simple and easy version I could do although keeping also some of the simple rotations and flip 25 PRESETS Is included 20 presets with examples of what I thought it can be done in different ways IMPORTANT: This is NOT AT ALL the same filter as the 10 Images or Photo Stripes Mix as is very different built and does not have the same things and you can´t mix the stripes.

ABOUT TAB INCLUDED IN THE FILTER
You can choose from 2 up to 11 different images or colors and you can combine them using different settings and mix them as you want. It does not need to be 11 different images or colors, as you can also repeat some of the images if you want and have different parts of the same image. You can, for example, have 3 images and use parts of the images in differents stripes. The order and number of the color control settings are according to the first preset. You can move the photos inside of each stripe so it will show the part of the image you want through the stripes that fits best on the design. Be aware that X is Horizontal and Y is vertical You can only resize the stripes vertically in this version as I wanted to keep it simple and easy. You can load an image as background or have a plain color, and this is what will be shown if you want to resize the stripes vertically |

Later on following posts will put also examples of variations of the stripes using different added components to the above filter or using the results of this filters with other filters
WHY 11 STRIPES IS BETTER THAN 10 SOMETIMES? When making the first10 stripes filter I found that it is not always good to have only 10 stripes, as for some posibles designs, it would need 11 For example if you are using only 2 images and want to distribute them alternatively on the stripes, it will not work right as you need 5 stripes of one and 6 stripes for the other ![]() |

As you can see above all the kingfisher image is well done on 6 stripes with 5 stripes of the Lionfish, and this is not posible if you only have 10 stripes
Another reasons is that having 11 stripes is well balanced when you look at it sometimes because you can have a design with: 1 central stripe and 5 stripes on each side 1 outer stripe + 4 inner stripes + 1 central stripe + 4 inner stripes + 1 outer stripe 1 outer stripe + 3 inner stripes + 3 inner stripes + 3 inner stripes + 1 outer stripe ![]() |

In the example above can´t see well the 3 stripes example, but here I have made another example that shows it better with 9 stripes with 3 similar tones each one and 2 stripes with different color
So here is balanced with the 9 inner stripes with 3 tones each and 2 outer colors, and in the 10 stripes colors you can´t have this I know that one of the orange is really yellow and not an orange tone, but is similar in some way ![]() |

All these examples are already available as presets inside the filter uploaded above
A very good difference from the original filter is that with this new filter it works much better if you want to have rectangular designs stripes, and you can also enlarge the size of each stripe too this way. Here is the original square design ![]() |

To be able to make this rectangular design shown here above you only have to go to the menu New Image... and change the resolution to the one that you want where the width must be bigger than the height to get the rectangle.
Then is possible that you will have to reposition the images of the stripes to the new size SEE PLACEMENT SETTING FOR NON-SQUARE SOURCE IMAGES Be aware also that is important that when using the image or photo source for the stripes, it will be different if the source is square or rectangular, because if it is rectangular you will have to modify the placement inside the color control to make it show correctly if it is shown wrongly. |

Glad you like it, I am making new versions of this with more features
Is your version similar to this one? or do you have thought about other way to do it? I mean that although this works, if you are resizing the resolution the offset will not kept the same and will not be resized and you must reposition most possibly all the stripes images, maybe you are having the same problem, or you have done it differently to fix it in some way |

As I have said above, this filter is different from the original 10 stripes version, and the main difference is that all the stripes are made INDIVIDUALLY so they can be used separately if wanted instead of the previous filter that was grouped in 2 groups of five.
So as you can use the stripes separately you can apply effects and components to EACH ONE of the stripes INDEPENDENTLY. And this opens a wide potential for using these stripes in many different possible ways You could use filter editor to apply graphics effects to EACH ONE of the stripes and modify the colors, texture, distortion, border, and almost any thing you could think of in a INDIVIDUALLY and separately way for each one of the 11 stripes I have already though to make a complex filter that will allow to make this having many different controls for EACH ONE of the 11 stripes |

All the ones above are using the original source colors already given to the stripes and showing it without any different color effect or tinting
And what would happen if I replace the alphabet font letters from my Alphabet Texture Creator Extended with 5 of these stripes and use the source color overlay? ![]() |

IMAGE PRINTED OVER ICE CREAM STICKS
![]() ![]() Maybe you have seen already how Ice cream sticks look like and that as shown in the link there is a whole artistic world around colored ice cream sticks to make art with them. Well, I go even further and I apply images over the stripes with corners setting at 100 and then control the stripes individually or in groups to get this effects shown below ![]() |

There are 14 new posts above with examples made with the stripes and variations of the original filter uploaded above
To go to the new first post of these 14 you only have to click in this link
will keep putting more examples with different ways to use the individual stripes or grouped and also using the stripes results to feed other FF filters |

Completely different! Much more simpler. Will upload the filter on the forum for entertainment! ![]() Sorry... this is gonna be off topic: I'm incredibly distracted by your giant "in your face" watermarks. I know it's hyper important to protect your work, but you don't need that giant thing right in my viewing zone. I just wanna see your work, not your giant signature being slapped in my face. I do have a couple suggestions... but I guess that's another thread. ![]() |

Sorry that I have made those "giant" watermarks, but the reason for making them is explained now in your own thread Regarding watermarks I personally do not see such a huge problem seeing the examples I have put above, these are NOT artworks and they are not something to be shown in full to be able to know what is about, they are ONLY examples of what I have done with the filter I uploaded above and what possible results you could get if you use them with bomber or kaleidoscope components, what is under the watermark is nearly the same as you can see in others parts of the image. I do not see a problem seeing the example right and how it is intended for. |

Then I thought that after using the bomber to mix the stripes, I could use the awesome and amazing Van Gogh Flow by Darrel Plank technique to use 5 stripes instead of only one element shape as it happens in the original filter and after some testing and modifications I found a way to do it and here is one of the results using the FF lifesaver as source and the stripes wrapped to it.

-------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------- USING STRIPES RESULTS AS SOURCE FOR OTHER FF FILTERS -------------------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------ Here after I do not use the filter editor to make the following examples, I just have taken the 11 stripes results that is shown in the 3D landscape smudge examples here above and have loaded it inside other FF filters Here in this one I have used the Camera Perspectiva by Morgantao to make a room with 5 duplicated images of the same stripes ![]() |

Then I have used this other kaleidoscope filter effect Unevening sfg by stingerjpgr to make the below example that having the stripes black borders will give a different result as the usual example from a kaleidoscope filter
This is using preset 1 and change to mode 2 and modified after some settings ![]() |
