For you to know I will upload 14 different versions of 3D conversions

Here is one of the full and complete conversions from the other preset I have tried.

I will tell later how this was done

And then using another preset where I have cut and deleted by hand half or more of the shapes shown in the filter as was too much crowded and the 3D effect was bad, so I reduced it to look good

Then using this other different commercial photoshop action for metallic 3D I got this below with the source color

wonderful, fantastic SR ! Thanks for the links. Those actions just cost 5.$ This is not expansive. I don't have PS, so impossible to use those actions for me. Is this in .8bf format ?

Glad you like them Ghislaine and thanks to you for making the Spirograms possible.

Yes, is true that they are only 5$ and really very well worth for all the things that are included and the very easy and great high quality results you can get

No, sorry, all these are "Photoshop ACTIONS and STYLES" and not plugins.

The action and styles work in the same way as Filter Forge using a source image BUT using recorded actions and styles instead of a plugin

BUT although you may not have the FULL Photoshop I think that they ALSO work right and the same inside Photoshop ELEMENTS that now there is a special offer for 50$ the FULL program in Amazon.

And following from above with the Rainbow colored and keeping all the layers active from the 3D action you can fill the places you want by selecting them and then use fill 50% gray and after that select one of the many styles that are included in the 3D Action package to get that beautiful rounded effect filling as shown already in the image above and I repeat here

And then using the basic original blue shape and using the 3Dfier action already shown above I got this with CENTER and 50px

psst convert raster to vector in Illustrator and there's a nice 3D tool in there that you can use which works procedurally smile:p You'd have MUCH more freedom than using an action.

Also if you extract paths you can export to programs like cinema and use them to extrude or extrude along the path for further designs.

I will see about the Photoshop pricings available. There is also possible to "rent" the software without buying it that is much more cheaper and affordable in short term

Amazon USA can´t sell outside of USA, the same as Adobe USA, so is needed to know the price where you are living or at least the zone where you are living and the language you want it, in English is cheaper than in other different language unless you rent it.

I was in a chatroom yesterday with a guy from adobe. The price for PS CS6 is 699.$ but just 199. for an upgrade. For Illustrator CS6, it is 599.$ And these two without coupons. There is no coupons for those one. I did not know that it was possible to rent a soft. No problem for the language because you just have to choose your language when install the soft. It is a lot of money. I know now that AI gets also actions as PS. If you can find a cheaper price, let me know. Oh... I prefer AI.

And thanks for the infos SR. smile:)

You guys haven't heard of this? http://www.adobe.com/products/creativecloud.html

It's nicer than getting the Creative Suite in a bundled sale. Adobe usually updates their product line every year, when adobe updates their line, as far as I know, Creative Cloud will update as well. Therefore you'll always have fresh software as long as you continue to pay $49.99 a month. Which is technically a better option than buying bundled discs. You can quit anytime as well.

I'd do that instead of renting.

Oh and one thing regarding actions in Illustrator and Photoshop, they can work but there are some features that Photoshop has that Illustrator won't so you can't run everything and expect everything to behave like Photoshop.

Gigi there are also many free photo editing software which can use 8bf ( gimp or irfanview for example ] as quite a few people use corel's psp x4 which is on special at the moment for only $69 or $90 for the ultimate which includes nik plugin free ( one of the best plugins around ). Corel will do everything you would need I would imagine smile:)

Thanks Carl. Corel is a company born in my town. A canadian company that I know but do not have any soft from this company for now. Before I used Corel Draw. For now I work with 3 softs : Imagelys, Paint.net and PhotofiltreStudio and also Inkscape for my photos and designs. Imagelys allows 8bf plugins. smile:)

Have you tried Gimp? I´ve heard it´s pretty similar to Photoshop and very good for a free tool. It can use photoshop plugins I think.

I had Gimp before but I have deleted it because it was hard for me to run this nice soft. I think that I will download it again because I have a new pc which work much better than my last one.

Meanwhile, back on the original question, here's a pretty basic implementation of smear 3D to achieve perspective extrusion of the source image.

You can vary the perspective, extrusion and rotation.

I haven't tried to clean up wraparound of the image, so you get the top part extending throught to the bottom.

There is a perfectly reasonable explanation for why the parallel lines are bending towards the horizon -- I just don't yet know what it is.

Well done ThreeDee and looks good. Although the only problem is the speed of rendering as in Photoshop is really fast to make the extrusion using the above actions and in FF it take MUCH more time to render it, but anyway is interesting and cool what you have done.

Here is the same as above BUT with some presets with image with transparency so the extruding effect can be seen better than the plain lifesaver.

I have thought that for all the ones that do not have a 12$ Photoshop subscription, I think that you can do the same with the free Blender 2.8 3D software as shown here

Blender Tutorial - 2D To 3D In Blender - Quick Tutorial
YouTube link

This does not have any of the edges or effects done by the photoshop effect shown at start but at least you can have a 3D model mesh and add additional 3D material, textures or shaders.
