rather than the blue channel, try the green. lightness is often carried more in the green, or so i was told.

cant help ya with the light Smile

Hmmm I will have to try that Craig...Maybe both channels..I'll see what comes about on that and post.. smile:)

CF,

that thing about the green channel may only apply to a specific program like paint shop pro. i dont recall the context i heard it in. so, if it doesnt make any difference between the blue and the green, dont be too surprised smile:)

Well Coraline came out on DVD and it was in 3d in the theater. So with the DVD came 4 pairs of a type I have not posted about yet..The glasses are "TrioScoptics"..Basically they are the same as "ColorCode" and the "Anaglyph" glasses. But the RGB process is still the same but the green channel is moved instead of the Red or Blue..So using the same filters that I posted just correct them to move the green channels...So...

RED Channel=Standard R/B Anaglyph
GREEN Channel="Trioscoptic" green/magenta type of glasses
BLUE Channel="ColorCode" Amber/blue type of glasses

Heres an image with the Trioscoptic glasses smile:D
Now to figure out a switching system to include all 3 in one filter... smile;) smile:)

hehe, thats what I did..I bought the glasses and the movie came with those.. smile;) smile:)
I haven't even watched the movie yet.. smile:)
I know they are giving me some type of complex like they are out to stop me.. smile:D smile;)

Well I did find that this works with the Standard Anaglyph filter well....Once you have an image set up and adjusted in the filter you can just switch glasses and click the button and the image is in the exact position for the green/magenta glasses...So I sent an update of the Standard Anaglyph filter with these type of glasses added...
The Colorcode was way to needy to include with it... smile:)
To many adjustments and to much of a hassle to correct the settings for the user... smile;) smile:)

well, i watched it. cute movie. i wasnt real impressed with the 3d. i'm afraid i was spoiled as a kid. i remember one 3d movie in the theatre when i was younger. it was sort of a vampire movie...sort of. more like a camp version of a vampire movie, but, nonetheless, it set the standard for me for 3d stuff. bats would fly out of the screen and into the audience. knives would come flying at you. the depth of that stuff was truly amazing. coraline was ok, but with a smaller screen than a theatre and no bats flying at me... i dont know. it was ok. but, i was tempted to just flip it over and watch it in 2d quite a few times.

Don't know if you ever saw a film [ can't remember what it was called ] and it was in Smellorama, they would pump into the theatre different smells at the appropriate time, some nice some disgusting ............. surprisingly it never caught on smile;) it wasn't as bad as the film Tingler another Vincent Price film of the fifties, a horror film which they wired the seats to give small electrical shocks [ I kid you not ] smile:)

On another note.....One more experiment that I am working on....This filter has the wall and some stairs for the moment til I get some more time to work on it.....

Use the Coraline glasses for this one...But I will convert it to use the red/blue also..

wow, CF! i think that may be your best ever! the stairs have a great depth with the wall well behind and, what's even more impressive is, if you view it and move yourself around, side to side and forward and back and up and down, relative to the screen, the stairs move accordingly in a very easy to see way. that is really impressive! i REALLY like that one!

Thanks Craig, I liked the stairs also...The method I used was giving some good results with the corners of the stairs..

Yep tried the plants but kinda slowed it down a bit more than I wanted but maybe another version later on or something...As far 3'd lathe I was thinking and playing with this I did a while ago... smile;) smile:)

Just another sidetracked filter for the "Coraline" type of glasses...Through all these I never had one filter just for text...But tried it on text that is black with a white background...You can look at this one on the screen but it looks more interesting printing it out and then lying the paper flat on a surface then stand a few feet back and look at the paper....This one should look like its standing up out of the paper....At least it did to me.. smile;) smile:)

that is too cool! not only does it move side to side when you move side to side, but as you move towards or away from the screen, the text will get closer to the 'paper' or further away as you move! very slick!

hmmm, not getting a lot of pop on these last two, especially that last one. i double checked to make sure i was using the chromadepth and yep, that was right. i do like that on the first one there's a sort of 3d shadow effect. that's kinda cool. and the lower part of the spiral, the red, has some decent pop, but that was about it. something different with these?
