took a bit longer to upload the image, forgot there was lots of pictures on the camera... explains why it's in my room.

lol I still have some floppy disc's so when I got this system I requested a floppy drive as well.

wouldnt be much of a stretch to go from that last one to fish scales, too, bel.

Um.. well so far it has 4 scale type options, two with them little bubble like bits on them.. that look like little studs. And 2 without. Nothing wrong with a little insanity ;)

ok. well, that last image you posted almost makes the scales look like polished stone, which is a nice effect, too.

bad news been fiddling with the filter and didn't send it in, was trying to fix some little bit's that didn't work right and then gave up for the night cause was making it worse.
Nothing wrong with a little insanity ;)

I had the studs on the same switch as the scale pick and when I moved them over to their own on/off switch thing's changed a bit too much. So not sure if I should just leave them on the one slider choice or do it's own switch.. um.. hold on will open it up and show the difference

I'll send it in when I have uploaded some textures and put them on sale in SL  , so will probably get the filter uploaded sometime next week or the week after.. depending if I decide to tweak it a bit more.
Mind been messing with some other filters, one an satin effect and this new one that reminds me of agate.  Nothing wrong with a little insanity ;)

ah just in case these are the samples I put at Carl's corner for the satin effect base image filter I am messing with as well. Works as an overlay to a base image.

oh by the way the brush images was just base colours the metal like effect was from the filter.. even though the filter is built using the Simple filter mode, managed to get the metal look.
Ahh this image was from a SL shot that Ron posted at Carl's corner.  Nothing wrong with a little insanity ;)

did it with a different colour this is a silver grey look but used a black colour in the filter, filter image before using it as an overlay on the dragon

ok, now i get it. so, this is sort of like my curtains filter and sort of like a glow effect, but not really either. it reminds me a bit of flag wave effect... a bit. i like it on the blue dragon, but not so much on the last one. and i definitely see the satin in the texture on the white background.

the filter turned the dragon blue in the first one, gives them some colour in the black/grey one as well depending on what shade tone of black you pick, if its a more blue black than true black that is. lol was messing with the satin filter I sent in a while back, but probably will go look in the gut's of your curtain one now Nothing wrong with a little insanity ;)

lol me too but doesn't anyone like the agate stone one? Mind have made another version which is nicer.. will have to dig a demo picture out of that one and post both so you can compare them.

if the agate is that dark one, then, that's what i dont like about it as much as the others; it's too dark without much contrast to highlight the design of the dragon. if you had a light or white background and the agate only on the dragon design, then it would be very cool.

oh, the red and orange texture one. ok. i misunderstood.
hmmm, it's ok, but needs something... maybe more grit/noise/grain? not sure. maybe some depth? If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

well I took out some depth to lower the render time then after I uploaded that one I realised I took out to much so I went back in and fiddled and gave some depth back so it looked like the original one that took a while to render but is only a fraction of the original ones time.
Mind the original has more colour depth and layers than the image I did upload to here. okay here's the first one from the last page, will go render the new one now and save and upload so you can tell me if you see much difference  Nothing wrong with a little insanity ;)

in all honesty, i dont see a lot of difference. the first is a tiny bit darker, but that's about all the diff i see.
