It's a mad way to do things but you can break away from that look of commonality which follows often with components like the Bricks or Frames for that matter  |

The filter has far more control now over the tinting, able to get old map looks to old drawing [ previous samples ], here is the LP with the setting which would give you old maps

thanks steve, I fiddled with the controls more on that one adding a highlights and shadows sliders to the filter for more dynamics in the final result
