Tessalation gone wrong.

Well, I meant to make a tessalation script, but got my logic wrong so I got something quite different.

That's so... architectural! It's neat because it's all one piece, unlike a tessellation of many pieces. When I turn my head and squint my eyes, it looks like Snoopy in a bird's nest up in a tree. Anyway I hope you also achieve your original goal. smile;)

Hi Everyone,

Yes that is very neat! I wonder what it would look like
in colors with multiple layers. smile;)

Have a great day! smile:)

At the end of page 4 is this awesome and lovely effect done by ThreeDee

But the more curious and mistery thing is the text attached to it

Quote
Inverse 3D Cubes

No Smudge used.

Could be used for making 3D interiors for buildings.

No smudge used? how this could be possible?

I have found by accident that using the Cube Wall filter by ThreeDee and changing the cubes into an square frame ring (change tiles profile into contour and add bevel width) I got something (shown below) that may look in some way similar, but surely is way worse and badly done my version compared to the one of ThreeDee shown above here, AND this one is using smudge so it is not done this way.

I will not try to solve the mystery because I do not have the knowledge and FF skills to solve this and only experts can try it

Mixboard with sample of detail. I guess it could be more realistic, but since I did it for no particular reason, it may stay this way.

A few months back I was planning on making a Flash real-time animated mix board for a music mixer's website, but ended up doing something else there. Maybe it'll end up on my own music site one day when I have nothing better to do.

Heh, yeah, there are some extra buttons and some missing ones for sure. It might be advisable to label something, but then again, modern music is all about experimentation, isn't it?

You know I don't always go back to read all posts froma thred several years old but I did with yours ThreeDee - amazing stuff. I'd like to take a look at that 'instant architecture' filter if you release it. I submitted one a few days ago that hasn't shown up yet - just patterns that sdort of have the old dungeon crawler map feel (to me) but yours is much more purposeful and mine more accidental. smile:)

That 'just for kicks' bit looks like what I imagine a Thracian or Celtic shield design would be. I guess it could also be used with a stained glass or the coin filter I saw recently - very cool.

I think that this example is done with the Hyperbolic tiling that ThreeDee have done and using thick black lines as source

WOW!! This is really awesome made and amazingly very realistic the distribution and colorization of all those thousands buttons.

Love how this is done and with the buttons idea is surely great, and the realistic shadow and the wonderful depth of the buttons pile that looks SO good.

How have you done to make such a well done distribution using bombers?
Have you used the Pattern filling you have created to make is so well done

It's just plain bomber. No special settings, maximum x and y offset randomity, density at 4 or 5.

Oh, I guess there's one trick used: There's a noise fed into the depth sorting input so that the buttons are not stacked with top row in back to bottom row in front.

Well, it may be just plain bomber, and maybe easy to do but I am sorry to say that I still do not know how you have done it with this tips you have shown.

Hi Ronjonnie,

Hopefully something useful comes out of them. At the moment they are just experiments combining multiple Smudge 3D outputs with Bomber.

WOW!! WOW!! This is jaw dropping amazing and awesome smile8) smile:ff: smile:loveff:

Is incredible how you have done this very realistic 3D looking things INSIDE FF that does not have 3D features in itself and you can´t use 3D models as source for this, so I do not know how you have been able to do it so well.

who else would be able to make such awesome 3D filters other than ThreeDee? smile;) smile:D
