now there may be a bit too much green in that last one, but that can be toned down. notice all the scratch marks, both big and small and how random they seem and the variety of them. would be much harder to do in FF1.

I would suggest a light wood color and some more depth for a hay/straw texture on those last two as well.....

and yes, i'll consider submitting any of those if someone is interested. if it is the scratched concrete one you meant, i'll have to do a little work to narrow and isolate that effect a bit, but that shldnt be too hard.

I see clouds more than slush, and I think it's because the deep blue, which ice doesn't have. Turn up the detail!

if i remember correctly, turning up the detail just makes it more grainy on this one. grainy clouds dont work so well. i also have turned these into surface filters to get the lighting stuff but i have to keep the height very close to zero or at zero or i get something very un-cloud-like

the storm clouds filter is one i started a long while back. there are examples in this thread some pages back. so, you could look there for more. but, i'll probably post some more as i continue the updates. this is actually a series of filters any more. it kind of went through stages over a long period and they are now going through another stage, beta II.

in one stage it was simply clouds. in another stage it was upgraded clouds. in yet another i added rainbows and then another i added a mod of threedee's lightning. and there are other versions of differing color and so on. so, i'm taking samples of the best of those and updating. i'm looking forward to stage III of FF2

here's another. some of these it helps to think of them as cloud to cloud rather than ground to cloud.

and, one of the interesting things about this filter is, if you crank the height up, everything changes. you go from clouds to rock
