Craig, it's not that......FF has been having a hard time on my machine ever since I got it (or should I say 'giving my machine a hard time' smile;) ).....while everything else has worked fine without any problems. Maybe my machine is trying to tell me something by trying to reject my filters..... smile:| ..... smile:cry: LOL.....

the leak is almost certainly (I usually know what I'm talking about when it comes to programming) is one of closed-source libraries we licensed from a 3rd party:
a) [excuse me for my language] its support plainly sucks (won't dive into details here for obvious reasons)
b) nevertheless, it's one of the best solutions of its kind on the market
c) it is Windows-specific, so Mac version won't have any trace of it
d) we're going to license another library performing the same function or even roll our own for both Windows and Mac (check "c" above)
e) but not until 2.0 or at least 1.5, since it will put a great burden not only on the dev team, but on the release engineering and support teams also, since there will be certain compatibility issues with previous versions

I can't wait!!! smile:beer:

Hello? You only noticed that now? I mean my foot note that is.. um.. no clue if your paranoid too smile:D.

I have had some issue when running a few applications as well as FF but its more the memory hungry stuff like Second life. Is okay with PicLens, I think but then not had both open at the same time.

everything about this image says i shldnt like it, and yet i do. the filter it comes from is unruly, undisciplined and really not worthy of submission. but, i like this image and i like the treatment for some reason.

That looks cool, reminds me of a badly done photo the process from negative to actual picture that is. LOL um that's if you remember that far back when people used films in cameras rather than digital stuff. smile:D

ah, good. glad someone else sees the ice in this. sometimes i tend to see what i want to see and not what's there smile:)

of a badly done photo? so, you're saying this is a badly done filter? smile;) just teasing. i suppose it would be a good filter to be able to portray a badly done photo so well, aye? smile:)

and yes, i grew up with film. i still have my slr film camera smile:)

I have a little camera somewhere but doubt it will take any good photo's, think its low in pixel count, plus need to get a card for it so I can take more than 8 photo's
and last time I used it fricking thing crashed on upload eating the pictures!! smile:(

a friend just bought that model, works beautifully except under brighter light situations of distant landscapes when enlarged [ visible at 200% ] posterization occurs in the shadows also occuring when using some of the effect settings mind you its only minor and 98% time doesn't occur ......... it seem to handle night shot extremely well, the zoom is excellent and camera is beautifully light and compact.......... great camera smile:)

I was a bit of an old timer purist fooy to digital, film has the warmth and you can get the tactile pleasure of developing and printing - now digital is just brillant smile;) smile:)

Well least with digital you don't have to scan the photo so you can manipulate it on your computer too smile:D, that and size, image quality (Depending on your choice of camera) are way cool.

this image comes off 'the monster'. i've been dividing the monster up into its sub-trees in 12 new filters. the monster was just bogging down too much. so, i've been going over things in more detail with these smaller monsters, cleaning up, adding controls, removing controls, organizing and so on. and in doing so, i ran across this effect in the second of these smaller filters. it looked a lot like snow-covered ground so i thought i'd post it up and see what others thought.
