oh, those are kinda cool. i'd change the color on the first to more of a stone color, but great pattern. and on the second, that almost looks like cuneiform on the stone. is that a techno noise that did that?

ok, that first one in the new series here looks like prunes
 the second and third look like rock and maybe coal. pretty cool. any way to break up the straight line patterns, though?If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

i like the techo grooving to age the brick, but if it's aged, then there's no grit, no grime. and if it's not brick, but stone, then it's still a bit flat, like there's a dull film over everything. so, i sort of like it and see where you're going, but i dont quite buy it as brick or stone. i like the grooving and the rough mortar, those are cool, but there's something about the overall look that doesnt quite pull it off. it could be as little as a bad gamma setting on my monitor.

It's got a functionality similar to my 'PixelScape' filter in that you can 'height'-modulate hue/saturation/lightness values on the 'stacks', tweak pixel outlines, set corner roundness and roundness chaos, and more...

that little extra something...hmmm, how about spires or spirals coming up from the centers of each block? like, have graduated steps upwards at each concentric ring within the block, each getting smaller as you rise.

I had accidentally made a random *maze* filter, but it didn't always have just one way through it, or any ways through it for that matter, so I kinda scrapped it. Not sure if you are going for that or ?
