thanks, guys.
umm, i dont understand, steve. bad areas in randomization? and what fading translucent bars? you talking about the foreground water and how part is opaque and the closer is more transparent or something else? post an example?
and likewise, CF, what areas are hanging out not doing anything? as far as i know, all controls are active. it may be that the area you're trying to control is currently hidden, like the beach or mist. but please, fill me in.
and thanks for looking and pointing things out. that's always helpful.
and you hooked in an anaglyph to this? cool If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

so good...But I might try it again with another method just for fun.... Stupid things happen to computers for stupid reasons at stupid times!

oh, those. ok, got it. yeah, some i left on purpose, some i just missed. the original filter was about three times larger and i erased most of it, but you're right, i could clean that up. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Very late on the scene - looks great and it's interesting to see it's development from basicly scratch.
It's funny I went back to fix an old filter - zoomed right out and low and behold theres a complex branch left unconnected sitting in there doing nothing [ maybe looking pretty ] so Kraellin it's certainly easy to leave a few bits and pieces ............ Carl

This is ---> Youza! Love it!
This filter deserves an awards~
I gotta tell you the image looks a lot better before web viewing~ Hit by the browser devil.
I have screen shots but the browser is taking the image down to 53k and I'm not compressing it at all. The waterfalls are much lovelier then what is showing.

When I view in my web browser it will tell me the size of the image the browser is showing. Example image.

And doesn't matter what save options. You can see the size of the image is clearly higher then what the browser shows.

Jean, I'm jealous.....I never got a blue ribbon LOL.... J/K Yeah, this one is VERY creative.....and kinda opens the door to an alternate universe of filters.....
PS..... Craig, I didn't know you were a Veteran..... Thank you!!! You have my highest respect, admiration, and appreciation!!!
I was two days away from shipping out to San Antonio to become a fighter pilot in the Air Force....but I decided not to go because my girlfriend at the time really didn't want to be away from her family.....sometimes regret that decision.....but life is good and goes on.....thanks to people like you!!! thanks, carl, jean, steve
and steve, i'd really like to know what you're seeing here: Quote |

Humble suggestion bad areas in randomization.....may want to tighten up parameters.....think that the cause is a combo of opacity and mist level.....getting areas with fading translucent bars..... |
if there's something that needs fixing, please let me know exactly what it is. or, even if it's not a 'fix' per se, i'd like to know.
and jean, your first image reads 236234 bytes in what i see in properties, so not sure what your browser is doing there. but it certainly sounds like the browser is cutting these down for you. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

jean,
you might try 'tools.. internet options.. advanced'. there are some settings in there that might be affecting your image sizes. look carefully through the whole list. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

I couldn't put my finger on it exactly.....some in randomization were totally noised out (probably a tweak on the mist parameters).....and others with a translucent bar effect where the falls were supposed to be.....
I think it's just a little fine tuning on the parameters.....no biggie I think the effect is great irregardless of little annal things I might find LOL.....

well, not sure on the noise thing with the mist. i'll look, though.
and the translucent bar may be where the two water sections join. it is possible to split them and leave a gap. couldnt be helped. to correct it, just move the top one down with one of the 'pool' controls...if that's what you're talking about. post a pic if you can and i can tell better. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

I did that. Even searched for an hour on the Internet. My best guess in the advanced tools is that it possibly had something to do with http1. But from the reading I did it appears that http1 decompresses not compresses. In fact I even think I took it off and tested. Will have to test some more with that one.
Your filter btw is 'perfect'~! Just love it!

check the tools options advanced again. look in teh first category, accessibility at the zoom options and then look down in the multimedia category. there is one in there about resizing images. it shld be checked on. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Thanks Kreallin~
The last one was checked and playing around with the others now.
Also I do know that .jpg is not the best image file and I also tried saving with other image types early on (one of the first things I did) to test whether it was the image file type-----------> but it does this with all file types the browser will read. It definatly is the browser. Thanks for the tip on the advanced settings and I'm off to see what I can do and will try to fix this. (((Little things like this will bug me until I fix, LOL)))
My browser is driving me crazy!~
Thanks Kraellin~
