The children's age group (market) would be mostly toddlers.....so parents would be dealing with it, not the children.....but I think it would work no matter how you went with it because parents would eat up the ease of just popping up a story on the computer.....or just laying in bed with their children at night and doing a bedtime story with their laptops.....
This whole idea can be easily done.....just little gif animations to enhance the visual experience for children (and thus making it more fun to learn how to read).....like with just a waterfall running in the background, trees swaying in the wind, characters doing simple motions that go with the story line, etc....
Parents can also be allowed story options.....like choosing text size, color, and having extensive font options.....and maybe even having options for different voices reading the story.....like options for having different voices reading the story.....male or female voice, British accents, ect (whatever a child preferes hearing).....maybe even in different languages (text and voice) for a world-wide market.....$$$$$$$$$.....
Further, you could get alot of people from here to help with something like this....like Ron developing new characters with Maya, ConnieKat with clothing, I could help with developing the stories and layouts, Carl with the gif animations (he loves doing them.....and got hooked on that little gif animator program for some reason ).... etc etc etc.....

ok, but now you're almost sounding more like a computer program rather than an online children's book. and that market is getting saturated. one of my nieces has a ton of those and every time she visits she's playing one or two of them.
so, i wouldnt try to get too elaborate, i guess is what i'm saying. keep it simple.
but, if that interests you, you might also consider children's learning books online. same kind of idea, only for simple learning subjects. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

I've never found anything online like what I'm talking about here.....and believe me, I've looked.....got three children of my own.....and many other children in our families that are here alot.....
If you know of some, can you post the addresses??? I would like to check them out.....and would probably end up using them.....
The closest thing that I could find to my suggestion is little "play pages".....where children can click on things for pop-ups or play little games.....

Well, it is behind the scenes.....but the end result is 110% for children.....and gives parents alot of different customization options for how it can be presented to their children.....like the same story can be made to look different every time, eh???
The possibilities could be endless for teaching children online how to read as well..... Steve

since i'm doing this with just the falls and not the background, spray, pool or rainbow, this filter can be used for rain, streams, and other water effects. in fact, it could probably be used for some non-water effects.
here's another rain/falls with the woman image. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

ok, i uploaded the new falls filter. this is just the stripped version with falls only, no pool, mist or anything else. just falls.
but, i've taken the new falls and put it back into the old full waterfalls and it's lookin good
i'm probably going to redo the background of the old waterfalls and do the same thing or just import something else into it. it's a lot easier to manage all the features of the waterfalls filters by taking each feature out and doing it all by itself. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!
