Now with full control over the bias per side, I'm feeling pretty good about 53x53 continuity tests in less than 2 sec. Here's the first 100 variants, and my fav of the bunch:

Happy to report that a change from a 2010 to a 2015 machine is well worth it in terms of speed. Roughy between 3 to 6 times faster. It's odd because the processor was 2.7 i7, and now is 2.8 i7. Must be the 'turbo boost' and other items I haven't quite figured out yet. Anyhow....

Like any good patent office worker, for example, it is necessary to look at all the patents that have been filed in order to know what is new and unique. So too with Filter Forge, it is necessary to look through all the filters in the user library to know what new directions can be taken with respect to procedural design. Unfortunately however if a user library filter has a certain series of components (method) that one is looking to use to build a new filter, the authors name remains unchanged even though the new edited custom filter bears little resemblance to the initial filter. I was sloppy with attention to author name in some cases, but rest assured that ALL IMAGE EXAMPLES UPLOADED TO THE FILTER FORGE WEBSITE BY ME, THAT INDICATE ANOTHER AUTHOR, ARE IN FACT UNIQUE AND NOVEL FILTERS SOLELY CREATED BY ME. It was just some small already disclosed and freely usable method from the user library that I used as a building block, and instead of copying over the components into a new filter, I edited the initial filter. Also, my design computer has never been connected to the internet via cable or wifi/bluetooth/etc. (I have taken special care to ensure this) so all design work that wasn't willfully disclosed by me (excepting vague hints in this Illusion Fields sub-forum and the 7 submitted filters), remains proprietary, confidential, and secure. Hmmm.... so you've been bitten by the authorship/snippet issues that I have also been plagued with. I've always thought that when you edit a filter for the first time that it should automatically take you to the authorship fields for possible update. I hope this is not the reason you have stopped posting here. I certainly would like to see more of your work.

Truly, that is my point, especially when one has taken the filter in a completely new and more complicated direction. I gave Filter Forge support, some months ago, many new screen captures to replace the ones that show filters not "by dimitrivorkapich", but so far they haven't all been replaced. It's not a huge issue, I just wanted to emphatically state here that these screen captures that show another author are in fact incorrect. Most posts I've made here are image links to images at xirja.com, so this isn't anything that prevents me from posting further, I'm just taking a break after a four year barrage. Again I was being lazy, or wanted to show the filter functionality by taking screen captures, and should have payed more attention to the "by ***" field under the filter title. I'm just hoping to prematurely dispel any accusations of crowd sourcing, coat tail riding, or plagiarism. However it definitely must be said that the user library and certain forum members have been an invaluable resource and for that I am forever grateful. I hope I have been able to give back an equal amount. _____________________________________________________
