you might also want to take a look at onnetz's 'lightning strike' filter.

just tried to find onnetz filter, strangly he doesn't seem to have a filter page and Old Drawing .03 is on the first page of populars

Thanks craig - I thought maybe onnetz has deleted all his filters apart from his EP did you get it from the library or your own vault or is there an error with the connection to his filters page

I noticed Three Dee as also done a lightning [ HU ], the forking & childs is the bit no one got yet

this pattern filter has been particularly satisfying in producing some unusual patterns

Hmm. Nice storm clouds you got coming there, Kraellin. Makes me wanna try and improve upon my lightning filter to make a really realistic one... without too many offsets that keep you waiting till the second coming.

3d, thanks and yeah, offsets. i've looked at lightning from several directions... and components. tricky stuff. would love to be able to match up those pics steve posted of lightning, but would also love if someone else could. so, please, feel free. if anyone does get it like steve's pics, it would almost also need to be in a form i could overlay into my clouds filter(s) like i did the rain and rainbow.
