The next 11 images to inform on my plight. You see sometimes a filter can be so broad that too many things are possible. But what to do when this is not a consequence of an over inclusion of components, but just the nature of nature?
First a simple paper fold (1200 px @ 25AA): ![]() _____________________________________________________

Then a rounded particle and rotation chaos begets (1200 px @ 25AA):

Increasing the roughness, rotation order, and smoothness creates this lovely mech reptile (1200 px @ 0AA):

So, should I for the sake of 'clarity' keep this filter as is, or for the sake of 'similarity of purpose' cut it up? Oh the woe! _____________________________________________________

With a bit more detail on the coloring, it's starting to look slightly like some Alex Grey works. This one with 4 repeat horizontal color symmetry:

Oh yeah! I've been struggling for a little while trying to lick this puppy, but now its been done!
On the middle graphic below you can see a zoom section of an error that pops up about 1/10 the time. I don't foresee the ability to fix this in a timely (processing) manner, so this necessitates the inclusion of the vertical offsets for each strand to manually fix them. Now the question is, how to avoid the 20 offsets needed for 20 strands? Cue train wreck track! Its pretty neat though how the algorithm almost appears intelligent, redoing all the overlaps in an alternating fashion. All three images are the same except for the repositioning of the red strand vertically. ![]() _____________________________________________________

Non train wrecks are increasingly rare and more difficult to deal with as the number of strands increases (with random waviness), but, 10 seconds for 6 strands =

I'm taking a completely different approach here from Free Braid. This seems to be pretty close aside from the occasional
![]() Thresheld polar wrap coming soon... Btw, the closest to this I could find that had been done already is Wild Pipes, and Cat Paths, but neither has the long runs AND self overlap. _____________________________________________________
