I have noticed we really don't have any bark filters, so here is a five minute try... it will get better smile;)

are you sure we have no barks? i'm sure we had at least one.

I've experimented a bit with that sort in these two:

Nature Textures
Bark

Actually the Nature Textures filter does a better "general" job at rendering bark like textures. I'm not really satisfied with any of them - I think yours look more like its heading in the right direction smile:)
Njyldgarkn init/prepare process x no. of render blocks x no. of passes
