I noticed they sh*t out another Saw movie, more torture porn for the numericans, and anyways was thinking to try and do a saw blade, like a damaged one. I got in the neighborhood, but I probably just shoulda stole Crapa's awesome sprocket filter to start and went from there, it surely would've turned out better ha-ha. smile:p

----I rather enjoyed 80% of the first Saw film, it was more suspenseful than gory, at least most of it, and it had a "sharp wit", no pun intended. By part 2, it was more of the same minus the wit, with a 1/3 clever plot device, and part 3, what I watched of it, was straight to video gore nonsense. I'm not against a little blood, or someone dies, but what they make in the name(s) of horror/entertainment, is well beyond what needs to be.
----Anyways, thanks for looking, and yeah, I realized the "teeth" part of the blades weren't uhh, flying at all ha-ha, but if they look like any kind of blade or saw or metal tool disc thinger, then close enough I guess. smile:D

nope, not buyin it. the 2nd one starts to get some teeth, but needs to be finished. right now, it looks more like a clock face without the hands or numbers and has been dropped or thrown against a wall a few times. and actually, that's not all bad. lots of games and 3d stuff is about stuff messed up, partially destroyed adn damaged and we've hardly touched that area in FF filters.

----Ha-ha, not sure about the clock part, but maybe sure slight resemblance I guess. I was going for something that has different teeth/edges each time ya hit random, and this does, unfortunately, the cost of that (and my limited abilities) is that the "teeth" aren't really very tooth looking and they sometimes occur away/inward from the edge. It's o.k. though, it was just for fun, I only wasted an hour and a half or two, and it looks sorta almost like something. I've just been way into those looks where things change and aren't always the same each time, like Seijti and his quilt one, that was really good use of it from what I could tell (I'm afraid to look and see how he did it, since I have 2 or 3 ways of my own, and am still exploring those kinds of possibilities), but yeah, the recent Sjeiti quilt filter makes excellent use of changing patterns that look more *organic* in a computerized way. FF has some stuff built in, like Perlin Noise and whatnot, but I guess I mean adding that "organic-ness" to more complicated shapes and patterns, more than just to a noise shape component internally, like FF has done for us. Anyways, thanks for looking and all. smile:D

well, if dilla's sprocket filter does this sort of thing well, then you could always learn from that and use what would work here. just a thought.
