Looks like a great first filter!!! I'd really like to sit down with you and look at the guts together when you have some time... however... this filter is HOT!!! Good job!!
Also you'll get some very good advice from others in the forum~

looks like some alien weapon hit your waterfall with a super-gob freeze weapon
one thing on images like this, you want to keep enough of the original so that folks can tell what it is, but also to see that it's been altered...usually. so, if you have the opacity control on your blend with a control, that will do it. too much originality/unreality is sometimes hard to digest.
sometimes you can get away with it, sometimes not. if i hadnt seen the original posted after the rendition, i would have basically seen some 'melted plastic' but with no idea what it was. make sense?
but, glad to see you doing some and for a first filter, well done If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Persidio...thanks for the advice and assistance preparing and uploading the filter!
Kraellin...good points! Persidio also pointed out, I need to go into the filter and look at renaming the sliders, etc. I also like your suggestions and I agree. I don't want the filter to distort the image to a point you no longer know what it is. The preserver looks fine...but the waterfall, not so much. lol, I love your reference though, might just leave this filter as is and rename it Super-Glob Freeze Weapon!
Thanks both!

yeah, you'll find that some filters/effects will look great on some images and then look completely rotten on other images. happens all the time.
and with that in mind, go ahead and submit the one you have and then just do a sequel for the lessened effect if you want. just stick the extra battery pack on there, since we know 'super glob freeze ii' will pack more punch If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Looks awfully *shiny* for plastic, maybe tone down the reflectivity and metallic controls internally, or at least put a slider on them so they could be turned down from that kinda standard FF polished aluminum/chrome look so much.

It don't look to shiney to me, A lot of plastics have an shine to them, that is why alot of them get a fine coating of paint to give the finial product an matt finish. I think you are doing an great job on your first filter. Only advice I can give you is follow your instincts on the filter you are working on.

Thanks all for your comments and suggestions. This filter, being my first, was...well, simply fun to build. I realize it's pretty basic, but hey...I was able to manipulate the settings and make something come out the other end!
I am going to rename this one Super Glob Freeze Weapon (with Kraellin's OK of course ) and leave it as is. But then, I will take the format and work with it, using everyone's input, and create "Molten Plastic" over.
Originally, I thought of naming this filter "Morphisis"...maybe that is where it will end up!
Thanks again everyone for your support and comments!

Thank you very mjuch Jean, your hubby as an nice flow with this filter, and he is truely the only one who know what he truely wants from his filter.
The name that Craig came up with is pretty cool, fit the filter pretty well.
Keep up the great work Revelation

lol Kraellin...consider it done
I'll be sure to credit you with the name suggestion in the next update.
When I was in adding the controls you and others mentioned, the filter took off on a new direction. I am currently working on it now!
Thanks!
