Cool!!! It's kinda like when strands of fabric are pulled out leaving strands in one direction..... #1 and #3 are awesome!!!
After another look, I still don't know what to call it.....maybe something like.....Random Weave, Rough Weave, Deteriorating Fabric..... Steve

i think i'd like this one better if you could contain and control that pattern a bit more. like in #2 and 3 if the pattern didnt go out to the sides of the cup and in #2 at the top. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Thanks for the feedback, here are some (different I think) presets with just the life preserver, to maybe give a better idea of what it looks like ? I still dunno what it looks at all like, or even what else to do with it.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I'm still working on it here and there. I've got it to fill a bit better, but it's still kinda iffy, gimme another day or two and I'll post new example pics.

I think the last image is the best! Looks awesome, it is a useful effect and unique. I am curious, how did you come up with this filter? Very cool.

----Still working on it, but it's just more or less an experiment gone halfway right ha-ha. One of the first times that a filter based on "self offsetting" has turned out looking at all decent for me. I'll try and get some new examples up tomorrow.
