along time ago I used blender to make a etch a sketch frame for a photo of my daughter It really looked good --so I got to thinking I could probably reproduce that with ff preaty easily

Here is my dilema
One By putting etch a sketch on it it would be violating a copyright but most folks wouldnt want FF on their frame so Ive been toying with advanced text snippet by CFandM and really have no idea what to place there

any ideas would be welcome

or should I just place a square area in the frame and tell the user to fill it in with text themselves

thanks guys

by the way --this is way off topic but my planter Idea I was working on along time ago is about finished should be seing it soon

Could leave a square but if you put text in couldn't the user go in and change the text within the filter? (If needed.)

I was thinking you might be better off doing a Google search for scapbooking quotes and use a very short phrase etc,.

Can't wait to see it and the planter too.

Well Technically I could set it up where they could pick the text but the sheer scope and complexity plus the number of controls needed would be quite large

It would be nice though if in filter forge if by using a switch when one potential output is not in use the controls related where grayed out or removed for instance
I you select 3 letters the controls for only 3 would appear but if you select 15 letters the control subset for that would appear then

Ill have to think on it some more thanks for the feedback

how about "F-a-Sketch" or "FF-a-Sketch" if the single 'F' is too obscure?
If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Not a bad Idea I got to thinking I could just set a control to either do F-a-Sketch" or "FF-a-Sketch[QUOTE] or leave a blank gray box

Well one thing to remember that every letter you create slows the filter down that much more. So the trick is to figure out the filter that you are using it for. Then figure out the text, then the task of how many letters can be used before it gets way to slow...If the filter is slow without the text then it most likely would slow it way down with the text....Most of the times than not too much text with just that would be way slow. Not to mention that a lot has to take place for one letter....

Text might be better left to the paint program then.
