Fantastic look, I Love the hedge/trees.
Normal map leaves a bit to be desired though, it does the job getting the look right but it seems overly grainy. |

Yeah ... I think it's becasuse the Normal Map doesn't get anti-aliased or something.

Here's an interesting variation using the road threshold that for some reason you neglected and more importantly using an image input with the farm patches and trees...
Also is there any way to make this filter a little faster? Could you blur the height input or would that look bad? Landscape_Farms A.ffxml |

I think it would look OK on the fields if you kept it down to like 1 px radius. You'd want to apply it first to the land, then blend the trees in post facto. I think that much of the slowness comes from all the blending. The tree shadow slows it down a lot. One might be able to get a similar effect without doing it as a surface filter. |
