Hi Steve it's one of the filter in my list which I intend to work on there are a number of filters that serve a similar purpose in the library and now with a better understand of the program I'm sure it can be improved - the idea of illumination as in the old terminology of manuscripts is still a valid one and you have spurred me on to work on it.............. I don't know if this happens to you Persidio, but I have an idea for a filter and try to construct it and along the way other things pop up like this one and the filter I was trying to construct never quite works [ yet ] - I was after an effect which would illuminate [ old fashion meaning of illumination ] with isolation which would basicly flatten [ parchment ] some areas while raising other with a mettallic or gloss finish - but as you say with greater skill you can achieve better result hence it's good to go back and rework ideas......... sorry a bit of a ramble LOL....... Carl smile:)
