These look great, Scazz! I'd be interested to hear how FF can do Batch Rendering. I can't find any function anywhere in the software to get it to perform this. Could you please enlighten me? Thank you! And thanks for these filters!

			Hi Clint,

DLI_FireFlow, DLI_WaterFLow and DLI_LavaFlow can all be animated and rendered with the FilterForge batch renderer. The batch renderer is a standalone command line application that's included with FilterForge. On the Mac it's in the FilterForge App folder and it's named FFCmdRenderer. It can basically render a filter over and over while cycling (or randomly changing) through a set of values for any of the filter's settings. Filters designed for this, like all my "flow" filters, typically will have a time setting that can be used to cycle through a seamless loop. To make using the batch renderer easier I use the front-end GUI interface for it FFBatchMaster for Mac OS X. One tip, if you want to use the transparency available in DLI_FireFlow you must specify a blank transparent source image for the batch render, otherwise it will render the filter over a white background rather than a transparent background. I may do a blog post with a quick tutorial on my DreamLight facebook page if there's enough interest, and when I have some spare time. Here are some links that should help get you started. BTW: Here's my DreamLight facebook page. I have a few animated previews of all three "flow" filters posted there if you'd like to see what they look like animated.

Good looking filters. Haven't tried the animation, looks like it could be useful. Will keep an eye out for your tutorial.

That you can change the time is amazing. Should be on all filters so that you could make an animation of them.

A decade later I turned this into an animated filter. Here's the filter in FF13, the only change is replacing the Time slider with Normalized Time.
