Hey, I had to say something. You forced me to google "UFC mixed martial arts" and now I'm getting targeted ads for all kinds of crazy stuff.

Btw, I only get one channel - PBS. With rabbit ears in Western Oklahoma there is not much to choose from. smile:)

Wow!!! You must really be out in the sticks, eh??? I actually enjoy getting away from the real world like that when I go on vacation.....there's nothing I like more than pitching a tent and relaxing for a week or so next to mountain pools and waterfalls.....cleans the soul..... smile;) smile:)

That's the operant term. The sticks are a nice place to visit but you wouldn't want to live here. smile:)

Btw, having the single channel is my choice. When I began to fall behind my project timeline I decided to have it cut off. The only shows I miss are the Daily Show and Stephen Colbert.

Good, come to the light brother, don't let the darkside drag you back, listen and you will hear the grass move, the crickets chirp, your thoughts clearing....... another truck going past, the neighbours arguing, some one playing doof doof .... oh god turn it back on smile:bunny:

Your alteration to your original filter are good at widening it's appeal - I wonder how if the little orbs were embeded into a background as an option [ like steel, wood, pattern or some real world suitable texture etc ] it would go, probly make render times ridiculous, just a thought smile;) smile:)

Look how expensive these look. And this is with a carl factor of only 26.07. Just imagine if I cranked it all the way up. I don't dare - ff may ask me for my credit card. smile:)

Remember how tough it was to embed the rebar into your concrete. It's just very hard to do.

You know, I remember this one from quite a while back. There may be something I could do, reversing the roughness from the inside to the outside. When I get some time I will look into it.
Thanks for the idea.

Yes you are right, especial as the orbs have soft edge that blends into the background - ignore my suggestion I just had an image in my head smile;) smile:)

I wish I could just do filters all the time. This one was a reward for wrapping up a tutorial I had been working on. I allowed myself 3 hours of ff-ing and three Hershey bars with almonds - damn I miss those Hershey bars. Why did I have to eat them all at once? smile:evil: smile:evil: smile:evil:
Now I have to stop screwing around and get back to work. smile:)

I like how the first one has a kind-of abstract crustacean look about it. But I really like how you have managed to crack some of the orblets on the second one.
I had a quick go at getting one of them to crack open this morning but orbs are surprisingly hard – like diamonds or something. I just managed to get the inside to crack and it took tremendous pressure. I see you were able to crack the surface.
smile:)

When are you going to learn to take care of things?! If I told you once I told you a millions times that you can't plug orblets into strange components. You knew they could get broken and now they're broken. Tisk tisk …

I had just finished packing up some Faberge eggs for you – all ready to be mail out. But do you think I'm going to send them to you now? Hell no! You would just break them. Like you did your orblets.

It is now obvious why you choose to work with things like concrete and rock walls and grunge - you just can't take care of anything nice. I bet your concrete texture started out a shiny new wall until you got a hold of it - now just look at it.

Hey, speaking of Faberge check this one out, it needs a lot of work but it could have potential. At least it's not bad for ten minutes of work.
All I did was plug my glass egg in where the sphere is - hehe. smile:D

I was going to say when I saw the first one "it looks promising" - then I saw the second one and thought "looking great" - I wonder if you could get something into the 2 cut out sections smile:)

I will see what I can do. It has a 2 minute plus render time as it is so I will have to see how it works out.

Thanks Craig and Steve, this is definitely one I want to come back to. I think my other glass egg is about to go lu so this could serve as a replacement. I don’t need to tell you that there are lots of problems to be ironed out – especially along the edges but also with the shape.
I have this one and another called pitting that I would like to wrap up. I need to really focus on them so it will be a while before I get to it.
Thanks to all for the feedback. smile:)

I had an idea to increase the speed by changing the surface mapping, but on closer inspection I screwed it up in some modes. I am going to fix it and submit a better, albeit slower, one. I will wait a few days - I don't want Vlad to get peeved at me.
