That this only has an "Average" rating is a travesty, this thing is QUALITY and I cannot wait to use this on a project... not sure how I missed this but I've found it now and it's BEAUTIFUL work. A "nice work!" to the creator.

I love what your plugins do,..but if only they worked properly on a mac.
Just like the paintHDRtist plugin, this one doesn't seem to render out after a certain size one my Mac. I don't think it has anything to do with the creator of the plug in..but more the software that the creator used (being filter forge). It seems to work fine on the PC just not the Mac,... so its some kind of bug. Frustrating. ... because they are really great plug ins. If your on a mac and thinking of purchasing Filter Forge, ... ask yourself if it's really worth it, if you can't render out what you create... and if it is a year and counting and the bugs to this problem still haven't been fixed?.. |

oreosPaul, I'm working on a Mac and I've been using FilterForge professionally over the last couple years. This filter, and many others, work perfectly fine on my machine. They render fine, and they behave fine.
There are some bits and pieces that definitely can be fixed in FilterForge, stability is mildly an issue, but I use it professionally and it doesn't throw me tantrums. If this filter keeps crashing, do yourself and the rest of the FIlterForge community a favor by sending a report with some specific "how to replicate" steps. I record video of it happening so developers can see what I specifically do. Also, if you get one of those bug reports, send them in. Check the system logs as well if you need to. Be sure to give proper reports. And be gentle, it's not like people can suddenly and magically fix every problem you got. In some cases, whatever you installed on your system, whatever is running with FilterForge can be causing the issue itself. In the end, errors that can't be replicated, remain uncertain, or simply lack information, cannot be fixed that easily, even if you give it time. Regardless, if you're running into issues, handle it pro. Be cool. Don't let frustrations conjure bottomless arguments. I know it's tough, I work with graphics softwares known to crash frequently everyday. You're not alone with annoyances like that. |

Still one of my top ten favorite Filter Forge filters, even after a couple of years' use. Thanks for this!

I really love this effect, and I could use it for many projects. But unfortunately, Filter Forge crashes whenever I use this filter. It is rendering for a long time and then crashes. I have already tried to change the settings for rendering, but with no results. I am working on a Macbook and all other filters seem to work fine. Any suggestions to get it run?
