well, if the filter librarian would quit forcing changes in the presets, that might help too Wink (aka, seamless tiling alterations)

Personally, I like this restriction. Biologically speaking, it creates 'selection pressure' for filters that handle seamless tiling well, which improves the average 'usefulness' of the Filter Library.

Plus, without this restriction, how would we demonstrate to the web site visitors the fact that 'all filters automatically support seamless tiling'?

vladimir,

yes, i know. i just tend to forget that seamless is going to be turned on by the site and forget to make the presets seamless to begin with, thus altering what i thought i had once it's in the library. maybe there could be a warning/caution/reminder put in the filter submission process somewhere, similar to the warnings we get when we've still got a preset with a custom lighting environment? it doesnt have to block the submission, but something to remind us that seamless is going to be forced on once the filter is posted in the library. perhaps it could just do a check of the seamless radio button on the presets and popup a warning during submission that some are not turned on yet?

sorry, i know that's putting all the responsibility on you guys, when it's really us that needs to watch it, but us senile, old men need all the help we can get.

The library is filled with too many filters which makes it nearly impossible for many of us to even get one HU. I'm clearing out my Low filters since they obviously aren't being used. Two of the filters I know were almost in the HU area yesterday and today they are in the crapper. So, I'm flushing.

Well, I delete my lows......substantially improve them......then re-submitted them under a new name. A couple of my re-works ended up going HU......so it seems to be working smile;) smile:)

Because the many filters (in general) spread out usage? Or why?

I can understand why one may have personal reasons to remove filters (they're old and haven't really had much, if any, real usage).. but I can't help thinking that the HU reward system seems to have a dictating effect here.."if its not popular, get rid of it".. its somewhat sad.

So Steve, if I grab one of your low ones I can get an HU?

The HUs go from page 1 - the Slimey Tiles on page 16. Almost all HUs belong to FF staff or the beta testers. Nuff said.

I was kind of hoping it was in the HU area. That one has been right up there kissing the HU butts for months. I need to make some other types of filters.
