I was just doing a high-res version of this texture (attached). I was surprised how close I was able to make it (and how simple the filter ended up being - not as simple as my simple stone, though).

nicely done.
one suggestion: after your noise component on the height leg, run the line straight from the noise component to the height node on the results. or better, put in a switch between those two points and keep your original effect but add in this one, too. try it; it gives some very nice results. i'd post the revision here but dont want to detract from the HU points. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

I'm not sure I follow. Do you mean the noise distortion component? I think what you're suggestion is achievable simply by setting the crack depth to 0.
