Whoa. An instant Editor's Pick.

P.S. Could you add this one as a second preset? Here:

It seems that the controls 'Wood Pattern Scale' and 'Wood Pattern Stretch' do not affect the entire pattern -- at least one Noise is unaffected. Could you look into this?

That's basically the fourth preset with loads of worm-eat. smile;)

I'll change it.

I haven't used this yet, but I'm reckoning it'd look pretty swell with some fonts. Maybe some woodcut designs, the kind of things you hang in a family den, and then tint them... now my imagination is on fire!
I'm enjoying using Filter Forge to create http://torley.com/textures

Nice. I was using gradients in my wood texture ( http://www.filterforge.com/filters/2108.html ), then I got to thinking, "I wonder what it would look like if I used an image as a base instead". Funny you should submit this filter on the same day. smile;)

I have no idea what I'd ever use it for, but excellent work man, that is a really nice one, WormCraft ha-ha. The range of the presets looks pretty good too, I may havta run a couple pics through it just because it looks so realistic-ish. smile:)

You can get Bryce for free for a while here:

http://www.download.com/3120-20_4-0.h...5&tag=srch

or DAZ studio for free here:

http://www.daz3d.com/i.x/software/studio/-/?

Both good for 3d rendering (and just plain fun)

i recently used dilla's filter on an image i posted in the retouchpro art forum. the link is: http://www.retouchpro.com/forums/phot...post172689 . i modified his filter just a tiny bit to allow more of the original image to show. all i did was add a blend and image component with an opacity slider on the blend.

the effect of that modification is that you can make 'woodcuts' or images that look like they've been carved from wood and painted.

oh, and you'll probably have to register on retouchpro to actually see the image in that post. sorry, i cant post it here due to copyrights of the original image.

Couldn't you just 'watermark' the image with some copyright text and then post it here? smile:D

I thought if I looked at this I would get some idea of how you did it – but it didn't help at all. The things you come up with are just amazing.
Nice work on the sample sphere you posted too.
