There are loads more things i want to add as variations:
- bristles, different brush types
- feeding different tonal ranges to the different stroke layers (eg so only the bright part of the image would use the smallest strokes)
- more density! my first version of this had 8 bombers chained up, instead of the current 4.
- separating the input into "low detail" and "high detail", so the low-detail parts of the image are done with broad strokes, and the fine detail is automatically refined with small strokes. I haven't figured out how to produce a "level of detail map" to control this yet though. I'm sure some of the other filters in the library must do this sort of thing; something like Blur( SourceImage-Median ). Any suggestions?
Skybase - I really liked the effects you got in Psychedellic by controlling the bomber particle rotation & offset smoothly through the map. I hadn't thought of trying that. The Bomber sure is a powerful beast to wrap one's head around!!
