Thanks Indigo.. smile:) Blame that on the Kaleidoscpes...Even when using non-square methods those still remain only square..So when using this on non-square images you can always take the long way....Mask out the two side rails and create a new square image at the horizonal width....When finished with that mask the top rails then create the new square image at the vertical height...Then take these two results and composite them together in your favorite graphics app....Kinda like cutting and gluing real moulding but without the splinters.. smile:)
Heres the filter with a mask for just the rails instead of the whole image....

Thanks Carl smile:)
and yep its one of the least explored...From the different types and shapes of the moulding to the wood and textures used...Just a couple of favorite places to visit for
frame samples....
http://www.engelsenmoulding.com/shop/...?catid=180
http://www.larsonjuhl.com/
http://shop.geminimoulding.com/index.php?cPath=27

When going to the first one use the search at the bottom and select "description" then you can type things like gold or burl...Good samples there... smile:)
btw the engelson is my favorite one..Really close veiws of the moulding types..

Every time I try and use this filter on an image I get the image overlapping one side or another.. So the frame is there, tiled twice but the image that I'm attempting to frame isn't entirely surrounded by frame.. Three sides are fine, but the fourth isn't. I've tried this filter in FF3, FF4 within Photoshop and standalone.. In all instances the very same result.

Any idea how to prevent FF from tiling the preview each and every time I try another preset? Talk about annoying!

As described in this post this filter works with square images only....I even included this in the "About" tab in the filter......You can do a work-around by rendering a size that is the biggest size of your image....Then use photoshop and chop it like a real frame....Here is an example I just did in Photoshop.......You will have four layers with each rail on a layer and then your image on the bottom layer making that five layers.......

You can even move the rails around to find better looking corners.....
