Ron, this is REALLY cool!!! All kinds of neat effects in this one....glass, metallics, edge, contours, etc.....

Working with non-lifesaver images is something I don't do enough of. I learned a lot about the filter I didn't know just by applying it to the flower. It would not surprise me to find that the artists and designers that use these filters have a better understanding of how to use them than the authors. It also makes me more aware of how detrimental an update could be that rearranges or eliminates controls. I will try to be more considerate. @ronviers |

Variation #3 looks like a neat new direction with pastel coloring.....which I'm quite sure users would love.....

I would suggest making a second version of it if the changes are drastic and it looks like alot are using the original.....and not to be shy about making variants at all. I get some gruff for doing alot of it, but I don't care.....because if a user likes it, it makes it esaier to go to exactly what they want without having to dig it out of a control-laiden filter and gives them all kinds of different approaches to the general effect..... ah, more tone art. yes, i can see 'glass' in some of those also. one of these days i'll have to get back to doing glass and show steve what it's really supposed to look like (*grins and ducks another shard*) 
nicely done, ronviers If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Ok StevieJ – I have submitted a new filter called ‘Metallic Pastels’ that should post tomorrow. Let me know what you think when you get some extra time. Thank you very much for the suggestion. I will post some non-lifesaver samples of it after it posts. @ronviers

Ron, seems like you are "cutting loose" with these last couple of filters.....and I think the effects are awesome.....look forward to seeing what you came up with for the "Metallic Pastels" one
