I confirm that it is very slow.
I think that the problem may be caused by the number of iterations of the Loop component. You can try this: 1) Click on the filter but don't stay waiting for the rendering, open it with the editor. 2) Click on the Loop component and change the number of iterations to a smaller value, for example 5. 3) Save the filter with a new name. The result will not be nice as the original, but still similar. Anyway...... I don't remember that this filter was so slow before. I wonder if some change in a recent version of FF made the Loop or some other component work slower than the first versions of FF. |

Many thanks for such a rapid response!
I am sadly something of an innocent when it comes to editing filters in Filter Forge... So... let me see... 1) Clicked on "Foreign Planet" filter. 2) Selected "Filer...Edit..." 3) Tweaked zoom and pan to show the area where there is a loop 4) Bain melted. I can't see how to change any values relating to the loop... indeed, I can't see any values relating to the loop. However, by bypassing the Loop between PerlinNoise 13.005 and Blend 6.003 I get a result. Now I'll just have to learn a bit more about how these nodes work! 5) OK, the term "Loop" features a lot in the "Library_13630-1.ffxml" file as edited with a text editor, so there's something I can look at if I hit a brick wall with editing the Filter within Filter Forge Cheers,

I've cheated very slightly and edited a saved copy of the filter in a text editor, where I have changed the "Iterations" of the loop from 13 to 6 (as below). It is taking quite a while to execute, but I *MIGHT* try 7 if I'm feeling brave.
My apologies for nerdily resorting to a text editor rather than taking the time to figure out how to edit the filter properly PS LOL - OK, so if I click on a node it's properties show up in a box to the left of the screen and I don't have to grab a text editor. Got it! Cheers,
