That's a really ingenious filter - I like how it uses the colors from the original image when creating these patterns.

Thanx Chris Goldthorpe! smile:D I appreciate your comments. smile:) I have a modification of it in the pipeline. It's a texture that uses a number of 5 color gradients. Here's a screenshot.

Here's one way to use the filter - I used the object select tool to select and mask the subject then applied the filter to a layer containing a copy of the original image.

WOW!! You have made it available from your experiments, I think this is very well done, awesome, amazing, very artistic and very unusual, is a very interesting idea to be able to make such excellent swirls and lines from the source image, and you have shown great examples.

like really much how is done and what can be seen in the presets shown, as I still have to see how it works. It surely makes something unique and special combination and mix the source colors in such a great and artistic way.

Thanks DJI, you deserve it for making this kind of things

I have tested little but seems that it does not support transparency, I have thought that maybe this would be even more cool if this could be used with objects with transparency, I mean like the built-in images with transparency.

I have tested now more and I was wrong, this already supports transparency correctly, I have seen that it is already possible to use images with transparency with preset 14 and uncheck outline and then it will work correctly, the only thing is that the effect is really wild on other presets that will modify really much the edges of the source, so it must be used carefully if you want to use transparency

here is the example of preset 14 with Kingfisher and transparency

This can mix the source colors in such incredible, awesome and wild way that looks really artistic and stunning

I have tested a work of great artist Fahrelnissa Zeid that can be seen here Abstract Parrot

the name is abstract parrot, but as you can see in the link you can´t see any parrot, and is the same as this filter, that you know that there is a kingfisher in the preset but you can not see it, and this is really lovely and great also if you want this kind of effect.

Above example is using preset 14 without outline

Here is another example on how awesome this filter can be and can´t believe what you are able to get with this, so cool

Google dedicated one of their doodles to celebrate Fahrelnissa Zeid 118 birthday as can be seen here

so I have used the image in the link and here below is the result using preset 14 without outline

If you may be interested in more works by this great artistic woman here is a google images link in large quality
Google Search of the artworks of Fahrelnissa Zeid

WOULD BE POSSIBLE TO ANIMATE THE SWIRLS?

Hello, I have tried to animate this awesome and amazing filter so the swirls could move, as I think it would look great, but really after some testing I still do not understand and found out if it would be possible and admire really much how many of you are gods of FF

Because the range of movement of the swirls seems to be very little and maybe was made only for still images

I will continue trying to see if there could be a way. I do not want to bother you but if any may know how to do it would be really appreciated, thanks very much
