Hey,

I really like the weathered/damaged image look but for my project I want to keep the original colors. Is there a way to do this?

https://www.filterforge.com/more/tutor...t-002.html

and get the creases / damages but not change the color, when I try it always gets rid of all color in the image.

Attached image shows how it takes away all the color.

Thanks so much

If you are unable to help me directly, I'd appreciate pointing me in the right direction, possibly to a different filter option or a tutorial video or something.

Thanks again,

If you edit the filter connect the image component to every place where the Tone slider is connected to....Replacing the tone with the image this will give you the colors of the image.....If this is what you need...

Hey,

Thanks, I very much appreciate the help. Unfortunately this looks to be more advanced than my capabilities and when I gave it a shot I wasn't able to figure it out. Was hoping there was a way to just turn off the desaturation/tone change. Thanks again, but it looks like I may have to keep looking for another filter or a Photoshop tutorial that's more idiot-friendly.

What version of Filter Forge are you using smile:?: ...The way the filter was created there is no way to turn off the tone...It needs to be edited or modified to your needs....What were you trying and what did not work for you....I was going to put a tut together but need to know what specifically to address in that....
Here is a Video by Skybase that addresses the how to of filter construction.....

This is my first time using filter forge, it's just the trial version. I'm using this filter https://www.filterforge.com/filters/5075-v4.html but don't want the image to go to grey-scale.

I was just trying to find a way to add those distress lines and fraying the image on google and ended up on this site so I've never used this program before, was hoping it was a quick fix but It's okay.

I'll check around for another filter that does what I'm looking for or see if i can get someone who's good at Photoshop to help me out.

Thanks again, though. I really appreciate you trying to help me.

Since you have posted the link to the original I will post a modded version..(not to be submitted)....Just click the link and open with Filter Forge..I also added a scale image setting so you can scale your original image to fit the frame.....btw there are many here that are good with photoshop.. smile;) smile:)
