Sorry, new here, so I don't know if this has been asked before, but is there a way to set an alpha so that a certain color becomes transparent?
Thanks. |

You mean like this?
Just whipped one together for FF2 using a simple script. Might post it when polished. color2alpha.ffxml - I never expected the Spanish inquisition |

Thanks! that's great. I don't really understand how the mapscript works, but I guess I should learn.
BTW-do you now how to take a selection and make the selection bigger or smaller? or like make a line of some thickness that follows the selection. Thanks! |

Just look at the script code, very simple and straight forward. Basically it picks a sample from Color and a Sample from source, compare rgb and checks if all three differensies are within then range. - I never expected the Spanish inquisition |

Using a scale component would probably work on the selection, and outlining it would be using the same and some Threshold tricks. I dont have PS so testing selections in FF app is not really 100 easy.

I tried to submit it as a Snippet, but got an error while submitting, will try later (as suggested).

But for intricate designs this would not work... like with lace or multiple small areas. The only other way I can think of is blurring, thresholding, and combining with the thresholded original to make it bigger or smaller... still have to test my idea though. And for some reason the submit wizard refuses to let me sign in... weird. |

I would use minimum or maximum for changing selection size. For outlines I would blend it with the inverted original selection. Or you could do it the blur-and-threshold route. |
