I've been working on a filter that needs to generate a fine pattern.
I've checked the seamless option, but the pattern shows some ugly border repeat, it is not really perfectly seamless.
I've tried a noise distortion on top, but small amounts don't help and with large amounts the initial fine block effect is lost.

Can anyone help me in this, so that the ugly border isn't that noticeable?

I know what it is. It's not the filter at all. Watch, save the filter, and uncheck "Show Border".

Kinda played with that a bit..Looks like it could just be a bug in that certain component..If when turning off the boarder its still there...Weird.. smile:|

Oooh, I see, the picture is not pointing to the white line that I was talking about, it's the repeating pixels next to it, do you see it?

My next suggestion would be to change variations, change size (only by 1 or 2), and to change the formula. That would bug me too, but try to continue on with the filter without worrying about it, you might not even see it in the result!

Thank you for your replies.
Yes, the repeating "stretched" pixels, not the white border, maybe I didn't explain well enough.

It's not only happening with the cell noise but also with other noises with the same inputs like in the screenshot.

Unfortunately it's very noticable in the result and when I apply it to uvmapping it's like there is a seam in clothing where there shouldn't be a seam.

It's sure is possible it is a bug, but maybe there is a way to obscure the stretch?

Formula change and variantion change do not improve.
Noise distortions unsuccesful, I even tried with offset cell source and other pattern in the u/v inputs.
But I loose the effect completely.

Clueless smile:cry:

Well, that's terrible. We should have an admin coming in here and whatnot, but I guess they're all busy with V2 stuff.
