Looked around for a good leather filter. Haven't found one that looks like what I need. I started building one but couldn't get it to look right. The part I really couldn't get was the stress marks. Any ideas? Or someone has a filter they could upload? Here's what I'd like it to look like:

Nice sample there.
Something like the cell noise patterns I used in 'Ice Age' could be a good starting point for these stress marks. You could introduce some stretch and maybe use multiple layers of them... --- Crapadilla says: "Damn you, stupid redundant feature requests!" ;) |

you could also probably use a perlin with the black 'background' alpha turned down or off and overlay that on the 'leather' to get your marks.
If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!
