I'm looking to create a specific plaster effect..

Y'know when a wall's been textured with a knife, texture globbed on, then partially smoothed? I've been trying to achieve that effect all day, but nothing seems to be working. ^^; Any chance someone could point me in the right direction?

Side note, er.. first post here. o.o Hi all.

Sorry about the lapse in response, ^^; I was kept fairly busy over the weekend. Family decided to surprise me with somewhat of a birthday celebration.

Mmm, very nice! Not quite what I meant, though. What I'm looking for is.. a bit closer to a stucco effect. It's popular on outer restaurant walls out here, although that certainly varies, from place to place.. They'll glob the plaster on, and smooth it with a knife, so that it's somewhat patchy--more of a height difference than stucco, though--and they'll paint over it.

HI , it was more an example of low profile surface texture to give you an idea of a possible construction methods - stucco or bagging will make a good filter so I hope you work something out - look forward to seeing it smile:)
