Recently when i have tried to open the filter editor, I no longer have an image in the "image" componenet.
Am i missing something?

well, in such a simple filter you shld get at least the lifesaver showing up... and quite quickly.
is this occurring always or just sometimes? and is it happening mostly when you've had the computer on for quite a while and doing lots of other stuff, or just any old time, even after a reboot?
and, did you recently make any changes to your computer or software? If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

I just noticed it today, so i dont know how regularly it happens. But i am usually doing a dozen different things at once while at work. I will see what happens after a reboot (later).
As for changes, the only real changes here were with our server, nothing directly on the machine itself.

on a side note....even in other peoples filters, the image is no longer showing up too (so its not just my own)

Doesnt look like i will be able to reboot till quitting time at my day job...so I will have to wait till tomorrow to see if it clears up.
I tried restarting photoshop itself, but that didnt fix it.

ok, dont know why you couldnt reboot, but when you do, if things clear up then this was just one of those 'windows resources management' things. those happen all the time with windows. If wishes were horses... there'd be a whole lot of horse crap to clean up!

Are you opening FF from Photoshop?
If so, your original image may be blank.
