I have a second version of this filter, still unfinished, where the user can select some cogwheels among some hundreds different ones

Well, I may have an idea to make Steampunk Backgrounds made with all these hundreds of different cogwheels in FF using bomber+ to make randomly created and have lots of different variations

Here are some possible examples I have found

I think that this one here with the white outline edges looks very cool and nice done and with some shadows to separate the different cogwheels

This example below here is double size bigger than the one above with much more detail

And the beauty of Filter forge is that you can change the variations and get another totally different combination as shown here below

And could also optionally change the colors if wanted

I think that to be able to get this well done distribution with little overlapping would be needed to use the Many circles by Rachel Duim

And another excellent and beautiful thing FF can do very well is to Position the objects in shape based things like this one for example

Another thing that Filter Forge is able to do easily and well is to give different colors to the objects randomly situated so the cogwheels can be different tones to simulate different metals like copper, silver or gold

but can also have multiple plain colors applied to the cogwheells

The color could be also as a tint overlay used as a band over the original one

What is NOT FF 10.0 ABLE TO DO is to do NON OVERLAPPING cogwheels distribution as it has been tried by many expert FF users and it was not possible to be done

All the above ones are as far as I see it using 2D cogwheels with some kind of shadows or some using PBR light to simulate that they may be 3D but they are not, just the illusion of the 3D as it happens in FF with the surface filters

Here is another example of the colorful plain colors
