I have to Wave elements. I use a slider to control the frequency into the first Wave element. I need to feed the second wave element a frequency of 1/5 that of the first. I want some way to divide the value of the slider control by 5 to feed the second Wave element. Remapping does not do this. Basically, I want a remapping of a scalar value using a multiplier and not a range. I can't see a way to do this even with the scripts as there is no script that can do math and output a scalar value. Am I missing something obvious?

Are you talking about the Curves > Wave component? You are right: Frequency is a gray input and only takes scalar values.

If you want to use remapping, can't you set one remap range 0 - 100, and the other 0 - 20? (20 = 100/5). [Edit: Can you use other ranges that don't start at 0?]

Your other option is to use the Curve Ops > Frequency component. Notice here that Frequency is a green input, so now you can use the RGB Math components as remappers.

The second Idea is interesting and I will give it a try. The problem I have is that. Thanks. I have other example of things that I would like to do such have have an input to a script, use it in a curve lookup, and then output the gray value as the frequency for a wave component. Maybe there is a way to do this as well with the second approach. It would be nice if there were scalar (gray value) script type.
