Will be posting stuff myself once I'm done with this insane load of work.
Oh boy.... I worked with so many noise patterns in the job I got so far. I really think its nice posting some. Love seeing your work. They're crazy. You should try mapping it over 3D objects with displacements for even more abstract insanity. |

Well if I had a 3D program and I know how to use i'd give it a shot. But i don't and even if i got one it would take me forever to learn how to use it.So there yah go. But I am going to try and make some textures that my be more useful.

I think I'll grab something from you just to like give you some example of what can happen. It's pretty crazy enough that I think it'll give you more ideas of what you can really do.

lol see I'm one of those people that keep pushing stuff... sorry if I'm a bit pushy. Forgive me, it's just me. I wanna say stuff. haha
So basically here's a question: what's the noise about? What exactly is it? What isn't it? When I was studying art, one of my teachers specifically said: the work should explain itself. It should answer questions and leave you to figure out more on your own. So if I were an environment artist, I'd ask the reason for that texture. Is it alien? Is the fuzzy stuff a special type of moss... or fur on an unusual animal or formations on a alien planet surface. The person who makes the texture is the only person who knows this, hence the texture itself should explain itself. This is why, even if we have alien worlds, us artists try to produce something relatable to our world because it feels real to us. So whether if it has a purpose or not, we have some grounding for why we made it the way it looks, we have our views so what image comes out of any artist, should explain itself. Simply put: What is it? What's it made of? Where's it from? Is it special or ubiquitous? etc etc... Once again, forgive me for my kinda fun-breaker thought, I've been dowsed in this art industry for years too long just simply a solid rock sometimes. I basically do textures, lighting, rendering, and technical work for a living... which makes me just have a giant critical eye on even the most smallest of details. But yes, it's stinking 3 am in the morning, I'm still working, and the world goes by me in a breeze. Love seeing stuff here. I love critiquing work here. I wanna see more and improve more overtime. |

Ya know dud, I allso want to make filters that a lot of people can use-read this thread-http://www.filterforge.com/forum/read...sage127801 and I appreciate your a professional but here's my thing. It's been my personal experience that you can call an image whatever you like and most people are just going to see what's in there skulls anyway. For instance, this filter is called "BONE3D" http://www.filterforge.com/filters/12335.html well it looks like cracked plaster to me. My image above could be any number of things, it's really whatever you want it to be. and as for me, i'm just an old retired guy looking to have some fun and not get all crazy serious about stuff.

lol I ended up staying over night doing work and read what I wrote... my god. My mind flows weird when I got the funny thing happening. It's like a mash of experience and stuff just pouring out. This sort of job gets you in the funny mental areas. You get picked on for basically being off by a pixel or your colors are off a little bit from the other frame. Quite mind blowing. Not that I should apply everything here, but stuff happened anyway. I'm probably just "that super-picky guy" at this point. So my apologies.

DJI. I downloaded Paint.NET ( I had from before, version 3.5.6, but I never had time to use it. ).
I downloaded 3.5.11 ( later versions don't work on Windows XP ). There are many plugin. Do you have any suggestion about what looks useful? Differently from FF, many people don't put any picture. It is hard to say what is ok and what not. You seems to be very experienced with this program. What do you suggest? I always use Photoshop and GIMP. |

Try this link here for older version of Paint.net. http://www.oldversion.com/windows/paint-net/ Then go back here for Effects .zip file allso the plugins go in a defferent folder in the Paint.net program. http://www.getpaint.net/ I guess you know how to find the effects folder in a program? Allso this link should answer your questions about 8bf plugins for Paint.net. http://forums.getpaint.net/index.php?...f-plugins/ Link #1 for 8bf plugins. http://8bf.net/ Link #2 this sez plugins of Photoshop but thay work for Paint.net allso. http://mehdiplugins.com/ Link #3 Some of these are free some not. http://thepluginsite.com/ Link #4 some are free some are not. http://www.xero-graphics.co.uk/freeware.html As for What's good and what's not you'll just have to work with it and see for yourself. I've had Paint.net for years and i'm still learning.
