You are sooo talented! I'm jealous because I don't know how to make filters. Yet. But I'm working on that.

(I did request a filter setting, though. A transparency-opacity slider (alpha slider) so that we can turn up and down a filter's effect.) This would be useful to people like me who are intimidated by the filter editor. This would also help in two ways. 1) It would encourage timid people to buy Filter Forge anyway. And 2) It helps from making layering such a chore.

My friend, still working on that ! One of these days, I'll be jealous of your futur filters. At the beginning, it is not easy for anyone. But with tries and attempts, you'll be ok. The most important thing when you start creating filters is to work with one or 2 components and add controls and play with it, trying to join a gradient anywhere on one of your first component. I will create an example just for you today. This must help you start creating something. I will add this filter for you right here on this thread. smile:)

Here an easy example with lookup as a transform component and kaleidoscope as a pattern. You will find 2 models. For playing with the second one, just disconnect the first one and connect the second one to the result. Change the settings, add some controls, change the gradients... Anyway, play with the filter and you will see LIVE what this can do.

I suggest keeping the numbers of repeat, density, and detail as low as possible for optimum speed.

In a sense, I think the detail amount for the stars in your current filter may be too high creating white dusty dots on the image. I suggest just lowering the detail. But up to you. Nice work.
