 No, played around with the high pass and the smudge, the smudge is the obvious bottleneck. The Smudge Trail looks great at higher values but as you know is very slow. No way around this one that I can see. Just forced seamless and was amazed at the result.Math meets art meets psychedelia. |

Just went to the overrides and did what you did. It actually sped up the render time just a bit. I think my problem is my machine is an older lanovo PC clone and it wasn't all that fast to begin with.

Forced via Filters / Overrides. Rotate does screw it up, but if the Rotate Design is 0, 25, 50, 75, or 100 it works. So you could use the override if you wanted to release it... yep I"m on an 8 core MacBook Pro...

Yah, I see what your saying. If it's even numbers it lines up properly to seamlessly tile. but you wouldn't want to upload a filter that only tiles at certain degrees.

That first original image I used for my new embossing filter came from my filter "3D Jumbled Polygon Shapes Photo Effect."

Very nice rust/corrosion. Also like the 'bits and pieces' back on April 15. Those bits could have a dirt border or grout and voila: a walkway.

Success!
I finally got my smudge filter "Shiny Smudged Photo Distortions O' Plenty" to speed up. I just got rid of all the components that where in there to fake ambient occlusion.
