hey all!
im kinda new around FF and i had a quick question about creating a filter. i have seen alot of filters that look like they are reflecting light from a source somewhere. i was wondering how to get that look. any help is greatly appreciated! also: how do i get the sort of "wet" look? ![]() Help me i'm new! |

Well, if you haven't yet, the first step in those directions would be to click on the *Result* component (in the filter creating/editing area), and change it from 'Simple filter', to 'Surface'. Other than that, make sure to up the Reflectivity/Metallic setting some. Hope that helps you get 1 step closer to what yer looking for.

Another thing that helps is find a filter that has what you are looking for and view it in the editor and how it compares to what you are doing...

----You just plug your design or whatever into the purple box (Surface Color), and then you are required to have something defining the Height, that can be mapped with a component (ie = any component, including one that is not the same as the one you plug in the Surface Color input). You should probably browse the filterwiki, as Crapa and Vlad have written more eloquently and in-depth about these things than I can. ![]() jffe Filter Forger |
